Advanced Somatic Training for Therapists and Havening Practitioners
Five protocols for working with what the body is still holding, when the mind has already understood it.
One day and live online. For practitioners already trained in Havening Techniques or another psychosensory method.
See training datesWhen the work stalls in the body
You have a client who understands their story completely. They can explain the origin, name the pattern, and describe exactly what happened. And something in the body has not moved.
The SUDs stop coming down. A sensation stays in the chest, the throat, the stomach, the jaw. There is pain that has outlived the injury, a restriction with no current cause, or a symptom that reappears the moment life gets loud again.
You are not short of understanding. You are short of a route in.
What SomaGenics is
SomaGenics is an advanced set of psychosensory protocols for working with physical and somatic presentations. It uses soma-based imagery, which is guided imagery combined with psychosensory touch, delivered in a relaxed, safe and deliberately playful state.
The working idea is straightforward. The brain holds an internal representation of the body, and makes continuous predictions about pain, function and safety based on it. Where that representation and those predictions can be engaged directly, rather than through explanation, some people report changes in what they feel and in what they can do.
This is a hypothesis, and Jenna is documenting it formally rather than asserting it. See the research section below.
The five protocols
SomaGenics Healing. The core protocol for working with physical and somatic presentations.
SomaGenics Surgery. For presentations connected to surgical and medical intervention.
SomaGenics Expression. For what has been held rather than expressed.
SomaGenics Resourcing. Building capacity and nervous system support before, during and between other work.
SomaGenics Coaching and Communication. Applying the approach outside a clinical frame.
Each is taught with demonstration, guided practice, and written protocol sheets you keep.
Where practitioners are using it
When SUDs stop moving and the sensation stays
When somatic encoding needs processing
When the event is too painful to connect to directly
When a client needs resourcing before deeper work
With long-standing physical symptoms and restricted function
With presentations connected to injury, illness or surgery
For resilience and nervous system support between sessions
What you leave with
By the end of the day you will be able to run each of the five protocols, know which to reach for and when, recognise what soma-based imagery is doing while it is happening, and adapt it to the variation real clients bring.
You keep the protocol sheets and the recording.
Who this is for
Therapists, coaches, bodyworkers and psychosensory practitioners already trained in Havening Techniques or a comparable method, who are confident with their existing protocols and want a way in when the body will not follow the mind.
Who this is not for
Anyone with no prior psychosensory training. This is an advanced day and it assumes fluency you will not have yet.
Anyone looking for a certification to practise. This extends what you already do, it does not qualify you from scratch.
Anyone wanting a guaranteed technique. Bodies vary, people vary, and anyone promising you certainty is selling you something else.
Why I am running a study instead of showing you testimonials
I could fill this page with remarkable stories. I have chosen not to.
The Autosomatic Resolution Programme is a pre-registered observational study, registered on the Open Science Framework, documenting outcomes from sessions using soma-based imagery. It records validated measures before and after sessions, with follow-up at one, six and twelve months. Two independent clinicians, a physiotherapist and a medical consultant, provide observer statements.
It is registered in advance, which means the plan is timestamped and cannot be quietly rewritten to suit the results. I have committed publicly to publishing all findings regardless of direction, including null and negative results.
Practitioners trained through SomaGenics can contribute data.
I would rather show you the method and the measurement than ask you to take my word for anything.

What practitioners say
"I've been in my game over a decade and it had never occurred to me to try this. This is going to really help so many of my clients."
"Training with Jenna is one of the best training experiences I have had. Her presentation style is clear, inclusive and informative. She is client-centred and gives thorough evidence in a well-paced way with helpful hand-outs."
"Your protocol really helped me understand the process and gave me the confidence to use it much more often."
"Somatic work is hand in hand in ways I never thought possible."
"I just wanted to say 'thank you' for the introduction to your Soma work. I do a lot of this sort of thing myself and have done for years, but the clarity and magic of the way you do it is amazing."

Live online across two sessions. Please make sure you can attend both. Attendees receive the recording.
Keep practising after the day
Two-hour guided practice sessions run several times a year, for anyone who has completed the training. Real-time practice, refinement, and the variations that only show up with real clients. £18.
Scope
SomaGenics is a training for practitioners. It is not therapy, it is not medical treatment, and it is not a substitute for medical care.
Nothing taught here diagnoses or treats any condition. Clients should continue with all medical care and follow the advice of their doctor. Practitioners are responsible for working within their own scope of practice, insurance and professional body requirements.
If you or a client are in crisis or acute distress, contact a GP or emergency services.
If the body will not follow the mind

If you are struggling right now
If you are in crisis, in acute distress, or thinking about harming yourself, this page is not the right place for you tonight and I would rather say so than have you keep scrolling.
Please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call the Samaritans free on 116 123, at any hour. In an emergency, call 999.
The work described here is for people who are stable and supported. It is not crisis support, and it is not a substitute for mental health care.
