JENTLE & JENESIS STUDENT AGREEMENT
Community & Participation Guidelines for All Trainings, Workshops, and Practices
Â
This Student Agreement sits alongside the Jenesis Terms & Conditions, which govern the commercial and legal aspects of your training. Both documents form part of your agreement with Jentle. By participating in any Jentle or Jenesis training, practice, or workshop, you confirm that you have read and agreed to both documents.
Â
1. Welcome & Intention
Our Shared Field:
Every Jentle and Jenesis space is created as a field of compassion, curiosity, and safety. By joining, you agree to honour the collective, the container and your own wellbeing within it, with respect and decency.
Â
The Spirit of Learning:
We come together not to be âtaughtâ in the traditional sense, but to remember, rediscover, and expand our knowledge. Every participant, including the trainer/facilitator, is both student and teacher.
Â
2. Our Community Agreements
Try It On:
Be open to exploring new ideas and techniques, even if they feel unfamiliar. âTrying it onâ doesnât mean you have to agree or adopt it; it means being willing to experience something new and notice your response. Sharing detailed explanations or comparisons of other trainings, workshop and modalities will slow down the learning of a new one.
Â
Practice Self-Focus:
Speak from your own perspective rather than for others. If you feel to share, use âIâ language, and share what you notice, feel, or believe. This keeps the space grounded in personal truth and prevents assumptions about other peopleâs experiences.
Â
Relational Sovereignty:
We recognise that words and actions can touch others in unexpected ways and so intend to share that which is kind, honest and necessary. Each of us takes responsibility for our own responses and the meaning we make from them. If something feels uncomfortable, it can be named with care and curiosity, trusting that open, respectful dialogue supports understanding and growth for everyone.
Â
Both / And Thinking:
Life is rarely either/or. Using âandâ instead of âbutâ invites more than one truth to exist at the same time. It encourages curiosity, flexibility, and the ability to hold multiple perspectives.
Â
Relational Energy:
Sharing and silence both have value. Youâre invited to notice how you participate when you reach outward and when you hold back. The invitation is observation and balance, not perfection, so that the energy of the group remains alive, spacious, and inclusive of those who are expressive and those who are less so.
Â
Sacred Pause:
Please ask for a pause at any point to breathe, regulate, or slow down. A pause helps the group reset, restore focus, and return to presence before continuing.
Â
Self-Care:
You are responsible for your own comfort and well-being. Stretch, hydrate, step away as needed. Taking care of yourself allows you to stay engaged and present.
Â
Listen to Your Inner Teacher:
Everything offered in this space is an invitation. Trust your inner sense of whatâs right for you and take what serves. Your own wisdom is the most reliable guide.
Â
Mindful Observing:
Listen fully when others speak. Try to understand rather than prepare a response. This helps you absorb more and deepens group awareness.
Â
Right to Pass:
You never have to share or participate in something that you do not feel is the right fit or the right time. Saying âI passâ honours your boundaries, confidence and supports self-trust. Additionally, I have seen this encourage and give permission to âpassingâ.
Â
3. Participation, Confidentiality & Ethics
Respectful Communication:
Aim to speak and listen with kindness and awareness. Differences of opinion are natural, but aggression, interruption, or dismissive communication are not part of this learning culture. If this does happen you will be warned it is inappropriate, and if this is not respected you will be removed from the learning space if online, and asked to leave if this is in person.d. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected.
Â
Confidentiality & Safety:
You agree to hold what is shared by others in confidence. Group learning requires trust, and that trust depends on privacy. You may speak about what youâve learned or how you felt, but never share another personâs story, name, or personal details.
Â
Please also ensure that your physical and digital space supports confidentiality. Join sessions from a private room where no one else can overhear or observe, and use headphones when needed. If recordings are provided, view them in a private setting and do not share or play them where others can listen. These boundaries help keep the work sacred and safe for everyone involved.
Â
Recordings:
Some products include a recording; if this is the case, it will state it clearly in the advertising, and a link to view will be shared after 8 days post-session. These sessions can be recorded and used for training, never for advertising purposes. Some sessions are recorded only for learning and review purposes, and will record only the facilitator. No recordings are to be copied, shared, or distributed outside the group. If you have shared something on a recording you later wish to be redacted, please contact Jenna at [email protected] within 7 days.
Â
4. Practical & Legal Terms
Refunds & Transfers:
Each course, event, or workshop has its own refund or transfer policy, detailed at the point of purchase and set out in full in the Jenesis Terms & Conditions. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept those terms.
Â
Certification:
Participation alone does not guarantee certification. To receive certification or practitioner status, all required hours, assessments, and demonstrations must be completed to a professional standard. Full details are set out in the Jenesis Terms & Conditions.
Â
Concerns & Complaints:
If you have a concern about your training experience, you agree to raise it directly with your trainer in the first instance before escalating elsewhere. This allows issues to be addressed promptly and in good faith. Where a concern cannot be resolved directly, further steps are set out in the Jenesis Terms & Conditions.
Â
Boundaries & Conduct:
Jentle and Jenesis reserve the right to remove or refuse access to anyone whose behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with these agreements. This ensures safety and cohesion for the group.
Â
Use of Materials & Intellectual Property:
All materials, recordings, and methods shared within Jentle and Jenesis trainings are the intellectual property of their creators. These resourcesâincluding slides, workbooks, videos, and scriptsâare offered for your personal study and professional growth only. They may not be shared, edited, reproduced, or used for teaching without written permission. Respecting these boundaries preserves the integrity of the work and the safety of the wider community.
Â
Governing Law:
This Student Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, as set out in the Jenesis Terms & Conditions.
Â
Acknowledgement of Agreement:
By participating in any Jentle or Jenesis training, practice, or workshop, you confirm that you have read and understood these agreements and the Jenesis Terms & Conditions. You agree to uphold them in the spirit of respect, integrity, and shared care.
Â
Â
With gratitude to the communities, practitioners, facilitators and authors who have taught and modelled fair and trauma-aware group practice, this agreement has been adapted and rewritten in the spirit of Jentle and Jenesis teachings.
